The first phase opened in
September 2002. 4 stars Hotel, artistically decorated with input
of a lot of young Mozambican artists.
Catembe Gallery Hotel
offers
a conference with a different atmosphere, just 10 minutes away
by boat from Maputo on the other side of the bay.
The boat trip is USD 1 each
direction (or 20,000 Meticais), private boat directly to the
hotel.
We leave with our boats from
Porto de Pesca on regular hours, where secure parking is
foreseen. It is now possible to come to our private jetty
in front of the hotel in a smooth way. Our conference
room can host 100 people and has 2 break away rooms.
Bigger functions can easily be accommodated in our garden or
next to the pool or even on the beach .
We have also a large restaurant
and bar, 5 upmarket rooms with private Jacuzzi and balcony,
serviced by airco, TV and wireless internet. Further we
have 2 very exclusive triplex penthouses, with 4 individual
bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, kitchen and all services each on top
of the hotel, overlooking the islands, Indian Ocean and city
skyline.
In Portuguese times, dining on
prawns at Marisol was a must around Lourenço
Marques. We are proud to continue this long-standing tradition:
today, the Restaurante Marisol
specializes in Indian Ocean cuisine with an emphasis on the
freshest seafood. For Sunday brunch, our chef will also tempt
you with the best traditional Mozambican dishes combined with
the international cuisine.
The bar was designed and
decorated by an inspired young African artist, who chose to
design a surreal landscape. Sample the famous 'Catembe' punch
that originated here and check out the regular live music
performances!
Accommodation is USD 95 per room, i.e. jacuzzi room
with private balcony, inlcuding TV etc. and breakfast on your
balcony.
Penthouse (300 m2, with 3 bedrooms, kitchen ,large lounge and
dining, large balcony, sleeps 8), is USD 350. Long term
contracts are negotiable.
