The island is accessed from Pemba by light aircraft transfer, a mere 40 minute flight. Alternatively from Matemo Island resort, a 20 minute flight.

The Medjumbe Resort accommodation consists of a total of 13 thatched chalets with en-suite bathrooms fitted with indoor shower and separate bath as well as a private outdoor shower.
